King Salman Center Launches Health and Educational Projects in Gaza

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched a dialysis center project in the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA."

The center includes 25 dialysis machines, providing 1,200 dialysis sessions monthly, benefiting 125 patients, thus offering a vital therapeutic service for patients and enhancing the continuity of healthcare in the sector.

The project is part of the humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to support the health sector and respond to urgent humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip.

In the educational sector, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed a joint cooperation agreement via video conference on Friday with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage to establish and operate the Riyadh Model School in the city of Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip, according to "SPA."

The agreement was signed by the Assistant Supervisor General of the Center for Operations and Programs, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Bayez, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, Dr. Issam Fathi Suleiman Abu Khalil.

The project aims to contribute to the resumption of basic education for children affected by the war in the sector, by providing a equipped school that accommodates 720 male and female students from the first to the sixth grade, in two daily shifts, in accordance with the existing conditions in the sector.

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works signed several agreements with UN and humanitarian organizations to aid Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, with a total value of 150 million Saudi Riyals.

The project also includes equipping the school and developing its operational and technical infrastructure, providing classrooms, furniture, and educational tools, carrying out renovation works, and completing basic infrastructure facilities, including water, sewage, solar energy, internet, ventilation, and surveillance cameras.

The project also includes enhancing mental health and social stability for children affected by the war, through specialized group and individual sessions, in addition to organizing recreational and educational activities suitable for the targeted age group.

The project also provides 22 job opportunities in educational, administrative, and service fields, contributing to supporting livelihoods and enhancing local capacities. A total of 3,715 individuals from the families of students and educational staff will benefit from the project.

The agreement comes as part of the efforts of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to support the education sector in affected areas and to contribute to providing a safe and sustainable educational environment for children affected by the war in the Gaza Strip.
