Trump Cuts Vacation and Returns to the White House Amid U.S. Warning of Possible Escalation

U.S. President Donald Trump cut short his vacation at the Camp David presidential retreat on Saturday and decided to return to the White House in the evening instead of Sunday evening, coinciding with a warning from the U.S. State Department about a potential sudden escalation in the Middle East.

Axios reported that Trump cut his weekly vacation at Camp David and will return to the White House on Saturday evening, 24 hours earlier than previously scheduled, while the White House did not clarify the reason for the early return from the presidential retreat.

These developments coincided with a significant increase in activity at a pizza restaurant near the U.S. Department of Defense, the Pentagon, according to the website PizzINT.

The 'Pizza Indicator' theory suggests that a large number of Department of Defense employees staying late in their offices during crises increases demand for nearby restaurants, an activity that analysts interpret as a potential signal of preparations for an imminent military operation, without any confirmation of the accuracy of this theory.

In a separate development, the U.S. State Department stated in a statement that the security environment in the Middle East remains complex, warning of the possibility of unexpected escalation.

The ministry urged Americans in the region to exercise increased caution, prepare for the possibility of flight cancellations or airspace closures, and anticipate disruptions in travel.

It also urged Americans outside the Middle East to seriously reconsider traveling to the region or passing through it, and to stay updated on information related to airport operations and airlines.

The U.S. State Department noted that Iran-backed Houthis have carried out attacks against Saudi Arabia, warning that the military conflict could escalate rapidly.

It added that U.S. diplomatic facilities, including those outside the Middle East, have been targeted, and that Iran and its affiliated groups may target other U.S. interests abroad or sites linked to the United States and Americans worldwide, including American companies and institutions.
