She expressed her gratitude to the Red Sea Governorate Security Directorate in Egypt, and to "the police officers and those responsible for securing the road for their quick response, care, and support, starting from securing the location and ensuring my safety, to providing protection and security for me until I arrived at the festival," according to her statement.

She added: "All thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to supporting and helping me in this situation, and I hope to convey through these words a small part of my appreciation and respect for what you have done for me. Many thanks to the brave police officers, and Egypt is always safe and secure thanks to your efforts."

The activities of the fourth edition of the "Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival" will kick off on Thursday and will run until September 15. The opening ceremony is set to pay tribute to the late Egyptian composer Hani Shenouda, and Egyptian artists Shery Adel, Chico, Hamada Helal, and Mostafa Khater will be honored during the ceremony.
